While most of my clients have been nonprofit organizations, with some government agencies and small businesses thrown in, I recently had the opportunity to write for NAIOP, the commercial real estate development association. I enjoyed the chance to work in a new environment, and learned some fascinating facts about public-private partnerships, our country’s aging infrastructure, the trend of locating medical facilities in shopping malls, and the effect that Amazon’s bidding process had on the cities that competed for its second headquarters.
